Daily Prayers for February

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chron 7:14)
 
As we pray together this month for and over Ipswich (town and community, authorities and agencies, Church and Christian organisations) let’s use the following verses as a basis for our meditation and prayer……….. also praying for each other as the Body of Christ in this place.
 
Tues Feb 1st: It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end (Deut 11:12)
 
Weds Feb 2nd: And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with you God (Micah 6:8)
 
Thurs Feb 3rd: When Jesus saw their faith…. (Matt 9:2)
 
Fri Feb 4th: For my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations
(Isaiah 56:7)
 
Sat Feb 5th: Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed (Isaiah 56:1)
 
Sun Feb 6th: Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his (Ps 100:3)
 
Mon Feb 7th: Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always (1 Chron 16:10,11)
 
Tues Feb 8th: And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins
 (Mark 11:25)
 
Weds Feb 9th: “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you (Isaiah 54:10)
 
Thurs Feb 10th: “Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go” (Joshua 1:16)
 
Fri Feb 11th: “First seek the counsel of the Lord” (1 Kings 22:5)
 
Sat Feb 12th: But the man who makes me his refuge will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain (Isaiah 57:13)
 
Sun Feb 13th: May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice (Psalm 141:2)
 
Mon Feb 14th: Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:13)
 
Tues Feb 15th: I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing (1 Tim 2:8)
 
Weds Feb 16th: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Mark 8:34)
 
Thurs Feb 17th: ‘And I myself will be a wall of fire around it’, declares the Lord, ‘and I will be its glory within’ (Zechariah 2:5)
 
Fri Feb 18th: Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12)
 
Sat Feb 19th: O land, land, land, hear the word of the Lord! (Jer 22:29)
 
Sun Feb 20th: “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?” (Jer 23:29)
 
Mon Feb 21st: For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Eph 2:10)
 
Tues Feb 22nd: For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; upon them he has set the world (1 Sam 2:8)
 
Weds Feb 23rd: Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations (Isaiah 62:10)
 
Thurs Feb 24th: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit

Fri Feb 25th: May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus (Romans 15:5)
 
Sat Feb 26th: It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them (Psalm 44:3)
 
Sun Feb 27th: “I have compassion for these people”, (Mark 8:2)
 
Mon Feb 28th: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Eph 3:20)
