Gap Year places still available at CYM
If you have finished you’re A-levels or university and wondering what you will do with yourself when the summer holidays have finished, then one answer may be the CYM formation gap year, which still has spaces available for 2011-12.
The year gives an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of CYM’s work, including lessons and assemblies in schools, as well as being part of the team at African Adventure, and working with young people at CYM’s various events. Alongside this, the gap year team will take part in the discipleship and training programme, which trains young people in various aspects of youth work and also stretches and develops in relationship with God.
CYM’s Training & Development Coordinator, Sarah Benham, says “You will never be the same after a gap year with CYM, as the year really will transform you and allow you to discover who you are in God, the gifts and skills He has given you, and the purpose He has for your life.”
If you would like to talk more about the formation gap year or would like more information please contact Sarah at sarah@c-y-m.org.uk - but do it soon as training for 2011-12 starts on the 1st September.
